Documentary Update: From Chicago to Chennai — The Global Voices of ODR
Mac here with another production update on our upcoming documentary, Can ODR Change the World? The Story and Promise of Online Dispute Resolution.
Since my last update, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with several more remarkable voices in this field. In Chicago, at the 2026 ABA TechShow, I interviewed Enrique Torres — a Houston family law attorney and former associate judge, who is hardcore into using AI to support his law and mediation practice. I connected over Zoom with Mirèze Philippe in Paris, who built the ICC’s Netcase platform back in 2000, and with Chittu Nagarajan in Chennai, whose two-decades partnership with Colin Rule began with a single cold email about her passion for online dispute resolution. And the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery Texas joined in on the documentary by producing a simulated online Zoom mediation to showcase their reach in helping parties resolve disputes from anywhere.
We will be presenting this film at the ODR2026.ORG event in Boston, Massachusetts this June. If you’ve not signed up for this event, make sure to register soon.
